Students who have any experience surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and/or foiling will quickly be able to master the Lift eFoil.

For those with little to no experience, don't worry, it’s very easy to learn how to use a Lift eFoil. Leave it to eFoil Austin to give you the guidance needed to become a proficient rider. Individuals with no experience on averages  takes 10-20 minutes to stand up on the eFoil.

eFoil Austin instructors are professional and have been counted on by Lift corporate to train other eFoil instructors.  Along with great instructors, it helps when you can easily communicate while on the water.  We use hands free walkie talkies built into our helmets during our lessons.   

Between our instructors experience and our superior gear, eFoil Austin will have you flying over the heart of Texas in no time!

A willingness to have a great time.  Along with your attitude, bring sun screen, plenty of water, rash guard and towel.

After your first lesson, you will be able to ride.  To be proficient to ride on your own and rent our equipment, it normally takes 2 to 3 lessons.

We do rent eFoils to experienced riders.  Once the rider can demonstrate by holding the efoil 3 inches above the water for 5 seconds and landing the efoil in a smooth controlled manner.  Only then will a rental without an instructor be granted

After a private one-on-one lesson, the student will be able to ride on the water and able to take flight.  Riders with zero experience on average takes anywhere between 10-20 minutes to stand up on the eFoil.

The Lift eFoil has a top speed of 25 mph.  The remote control allows you to manage the power of the eFoil by choosing between 15 speed settings.  It only takes 8-12 mph to fly depending on the riders weight so while taking a lesson you won't exceed speeds of 12 mph.  Our goal is not to teach you how to go fast, but to fly safe!

A few variants make a difference on how long your Lift eFoil battery will last.  In general, we say the battery lasts between 60 - 90 minutes mostly depending on the riders weight and how efficient the individual is at foiling.  The Lift Foils eFoil also has an impressive range of 14 miles.

Howard Smith has been instructing onLift eFoils for two years in Puerto Rico. He has been training affiliates and new students on how to ride and maintain the equipment. He has been working closely with the Lift team and is super easy and fun to learn from.

eFoil Austin instructors take safety very seriously. All students are trained on how to operate the equipment safely before entering the water. Students will wear a Coast Guard Certified PFD and a helmet equipped with radio communications for clarity and efficient learning. eFoil Austin instructors are trained in First Aid, "Stop the Bleed", and CPR and they carry first aid equipment at all times. 

The eFoil automatically shuts off when the hand controller touches the water, or when the trigger on the hand controller is released. The most important safety feature to note is the use of protective equipment and caution while using the product to avoid injury while riding.
